The Power Behind the Meetings

If I ever doubt the power of Three-Generation Family Meetings, I remind myself of probably the most impactful agenda item, to me, of any Family Meeting we’ve ever had. Following our group discussion, we resolved to do everything in our power to ensure that no member of our family, regardless of financial resources, would ever lack for needed medical care or psychological support; that no young person would be prevented from attending college or trade school; and no elderly person would be forced to live out his or her days in isolation or poverty. One could draw a direct line from this resolution, made over ten years ago, to my living with my daughter and her husband in their home in Los Angeles today.
