Homework

With all this in mind, it is vital that women be more purposeful concerning their sexual learning about themselves. Typically the diagnosis of anorgasmia, the inability to have an orgasm, is given to women, with far fewer men reporting this issue. My homework and encouragement is that a couple reading this should start tracking their sexual desire and arousal as well as reasons for desire and arousal. This will take some work, as men will have a lot to report and women will need to put a great deal of effort into increasing awareness. Men, just get writing. Women, there are several ways to begin.

Women can periodically stop their busy lives and literally examine what is going on for them sexually and physiologically. We all have arousal throughout the day. However, many women have trained themselves not to be aware of this. I implore you to start training and programming yourself to become aware of your sexual arousal. Spend a few moments by yourself thinking about your sexual organs. Is there more sensitivity to your vulva or clitoris? Do certain movements or focus on arousal increase or decrease pleasure and arousal? Does touch to your clitoris, vulva, or vaginal canal bring out further arousal? Do you have more lubrication or less than when you checked earlier in the day? Has the vaginal canal changed its form or tightness (check with your finger)?

After you have done your writing, share this with your spouse. Try to find ways to augment what you already have by way of desire and arousal to be a more complete partner. Finally, put this into action. Talk to your spouse throughout the day when desire and arousal occur. Send your spouse a flirty text or drop by the office or the house on a quick break to tell him or her how aroused you have been or what aroused you.
