In That Place

In this place

If I trust God like His word says that I should

Then He’s working out all things, all things for my good

And taking care of me just like He said He would

I’d go to be with Him now, yes, if only I could

In that place of no despair

Jesus is building me a mansion there

In that place of my new home no more burdens will I bear

In that place at Jesus’s feet, there’s not a single care

Peace and joy will reign supreme in that place beyond compare

In this place

Jesus shed His blood on the cross at Calvary

His life was cut short, He was only thirty-three

I’m an unworthy sinner, and yet He died for me

He purchased my new life, so to Him I bow the knee

In that place beyond the river

There’s no more sorrow and no more sighing

There’s no more sadness and no more crying

There’s no more suffering and no more dying

There’s no more pain, so tears are drying

In that place of no despair

My Lord and Savior will greet me there

In that place of my new home, no more burdens will I bear
