CHAPTER 6

Tye had just fallen asleep when her bed dipped under the weight of another body.

He’d come.

Her heart leaped in her chest. Had her inner chant for him to come to her worked?

She threaded her fingers through his silky hair as the length of it fell on her chest. She wrapped her hand in the strands and rubbed it on her cheek. The rich, unique scent she now recognized as his, made her sigh. “Yes, you should have. But I’ve had some time to think about this…knowing what I know now, I would’ve made love to you anyway.”

He kissed her long and hard, like he couldn’t get enough. He moved from her lips to rain kisses down her neck and then to her breast. She bucked as if he’d pulled an invisible string attached to her sex. Her heart began to pound erratically in her chest and her breathing grew loud.

He smiled a second time, and his nostrils flared.

He rubbed his large hand against the dark patch of hair there, petting her. When he nudged her legs further apart and placed both hands on her, she sucked air so fast it made her dizzy. He eased her legs farther apart and she stretched wider, just in case.

His hot breath both tickled and teased, and an instant later the surrounding air seemed icy.
