THE DREAM OF YOUR SOUL

Engaging your imagination to do your dreaming work is a very tricky topic if you are only doing the work from a place of personality and ego where you are led by “I want” and “I need” without further investigation into seeing if your desire is for your highest good and speaks to your soul. On a personality level you might want to manifest a new car or another material possession that in the end will not bring you true happiness.

At first some of my students question me and wonder if they should engage in creation work as they do not just want to create from a place of ego. On one level you have your desired outcomes, but is your desired outcome being driven only by ego? The key is to begin your dreaming work and allow it to deepen over time.

While I was writing Walking in Light, I had a waking dream that led me to reflect on my life and the choices I was making. I woke up in the middle of the night, and I found myself in between the worlds. I was no longer asleep, but I also was not awake. The only way I can describe my state is that I had a waking dream. In a flash I was shown the true meaning of my life. My waking dream did not last for more than one minute, if that. I was shown that the true meaning of this lifetime and what was so important to me was that I had the opportunity to see the great beauty of the Earth either through my travels, seeing photos, or watching videos of extraordinary landscapes. The message I received was that this was my first lifetime where I had the opportunity to witness the amazing landscapes of the Earth. Second, I was told that it was meaningful to me that I experienced love. And third, having the opportunity to take care of my parents at the end of their life was very important on both an emotional and soul level. I was surprised that in this flash of deep awareness nothing about my work came up. I love my work, and I do believe that it has been a true gift to be able to see clients, teach, and write. But it was also clear to me that there were other areas of my life that were important to me on a soul level.

By devoting time to your spiritual practices, you will discover new layers of yourself that take you beyond your personality to the depths of your soul. Over time you will increase your capacity to identify what has meaning to you on a deep level. Also through the guidance of your helping spirits as well as gaining life experience, you start to sort out the question of what intention to focus on while you engage in dreaming the life you wish for yourself and for the planet.

There is also a paradox that you have to dance, and it can be a challenging dance.
