The cash flow statement has three main parts:

Operating activities show the cash the company generated or used while producing a product or a service.

Investing activities reflect the acquisition of long-term assets such as machinery or properties.

Financial activities include loans the company takes out, changes in debt, and dividends or interest paid.

The cash flow statement provides information about:

Cash position. The amount of money a company has at the end of the period in all its bank accounts and all currencies.

Cash flow. The difference between the amount of cash at the beginning vs. the end of the accounting period
