“Gosh, it’s chilly tonight,” Cassandra says to me as we sit in the bleachers watching our school in the football game.

The Brockville Broncos are taking on the Litchfield Lions. They’ve got an undefeated record, but our school is pretty good, and hopefully we can win. Especially with Nate and Julian on the team. It’s already the second quarter, and they’ve been nothing less than amazing.

“It is.” I run my hands up and down my arms as Julian’s eyes lock with mine from the field. He smiles at me before getting back into position as the referee blows his whistle.

Cassie’s giggles fill my ears. “He’s totally into you.”

I snap my head in her direction. “What?”

“Julian. I see how he’s looking at you. He really likes you a lot.”

I look back at the field to where he’s standing, waiting for the quarterback to throw the ball. Then I look back over at Cassie. “You really think so?”

“Oh, for sure. And after what you told me about the other day when he wanted to take you out? It’s obvious he totally likes you.”

I think back to our last study session when Julian was walking me back to the dorms, and just as he was asking me out, Michael popped up out of nowhere.

And damn, how sweet that surprise had been. The sex in his car was so hot as he gripped on to my neck so tightly. It made my orgasm so much more intense.

After that, we arrived at his place where I washed up and changed into a sparkly black evening gown. It was a gorgeous Armani dress, and I can only imagine how much it cost him. When I got into the room to change, it was lying on the bed with matching heels. To say he spoils me is an understatement.

Once we were ready to go, we went back to Buona Cucina for dinner, where Roberto once again scanned my body like a damn hawk. Michael silently put him in his place with just one stare. Yet again, the food and the music were perfect, and as he looked into my eyes while we waited for dessert, I felt myself falling further and further into his spell. I’m crazy about this man.

After we finished dinner, he brought me back home. It was bittersweet, because as much as I didn’t want him to go, the way he kissed me goodbye made me weak in the knees. But he had to leave. Since he cancelled his meeting to spend the evening with me, he had to meet with his clients the next morning.

But, damn, that good-night kiss was amazing. I felt the passion he feels for me with each touch and swipe of his tongue against mine, and since that evening, it’s all I’ve been thinking about.

He truly did show me I’m the only one, just as he said he would. I don’t doubt it. Now I’m more sure than ever.

I shrug. “Julian’s cute for sure, but I love Michael.”

“I know you do,” Cassie responds as she looks over to the bleachers.
