BACK TO SCHOOL BLUES

Our mother drove us to the High School after a very long and need Christmas. All the windows rolled up. It is way below zero, snowing, light wind from the West, very cloudy and completely overcast morning. Us Sisters were all wearing out school uniforms similar to the ones they wear in Japan or Korea. And we do not need to make-up because we are perfectly beautiful.

Once Bitten, you are that and more forever or until someone takes your head or her. I was the only one wearing an all black hoody cinched up around my face, hidden inside the blackness inside. My backpack is on my lap bumping in the Limo.

In the bitterroot Valley of Montana, an extremely small town called Hamilton and here is almost constant overcast, snowy, cloudy and best of all, hidden from view. Like the Northwest, but better because of the snow and the valley with mountain ranges on each side.

The locals call this place the land of lost dreams -for all who come here eventually lose it all. With very few original locals who could spy out who we really were or are long gone or dead.

Hamilton is the place where I sent myself too when things got terrible for us sisters in the sixties and my Caregiver and Mother of sorts came and never left and has been her awaiting her daughter’s return. Since the invention of the cell phone, we are closer than stink on a corpse. Or is it a fly -I forget!

To be brutally honest, I really hate Hamilton as do my sisters, but what can ya do when the Van Helsings are on the hunt? Vampire assassins galore. And if it wasn´t for Teh King and his kind clan, we would be dead for sure.

Anyway, we are off to school!

The Limo pulls up and all the kids stare in disbelief, thinking a celebrity has just arrived at their school and they all being to swarm around the limo.

Charlotte, or Mommy dearest to us girls, unrolls the glass and yells facing forward.

Now patty fingers, bitting, feasting, or killing of any humans! Got it Girls!

Got!

Tat is out first and pushes through the crowd towards the front door when she sniffs, stops and peers through the darkness at the most handsome man in the school chose the jock, quarterback, all-state everything about to graduate, preppy, rich boy and followed by all the preppy girls.

He too stops and looks t the dark hoody, sizes her up and smiles and both parts way.

Ailith huffs - Not again, Tat?

Maybe.

The bells rings and they enter inside the school and right in front of him iss a large open hallway with the large trophy case full that date back to the turn of the century when the school opened in 1910. On each side is a roster of the first kids who were enrolled there, and on the other side is a roster of teens who were enrolled there in the sixties.
