They elevated torture to an art form, wringing demonic music from their victims' screams, feasting and fornicating on steaming piles of shifter entrails.

He had been a lowly foot soldier then, a newly turned vampire. He had fought bravely, defending vampire and human villages against the invading, bloodthirsty weres.
