Herman Bickerstaff faces corruption charges

For a moment Brian gaped at the computer screen. Then relief flooded over him. “Thank God,” he said weakly.

“When did it happen?” Liz said, sounding slightly disappointed.

“Just a few hours ago,” J.P. grinned. “Looks like he was trying to skip town. Apparently he had stolen a bunch of…” he glanced at the screen. “…blueprints and other state documents.”

“Blueprints,” Brian repeated, his mind working quickly. “I bet he had the blueprints for our building. It used to be a public grade school.”

“And that explains how he was able to screw with the wiring and stuff,” Liz finished his thought. “So he was already caught when we called him.”

“And he can’t do anything else,” J.P. said. “It’s over!”

“Yes.” Brian felt light, as if a weight had lifted off his chest. “It’s over.”
