It was as though his carnal, but tender ministrations unlocked something deep inside, a sensual woman she never knew existed. Even her maker, a man of mental and sexual prowess, had not been able to call forth this woman.

“Sounds like a deal,” she said.

“Do you have something you can wear out of here?”

“Why?”

He grinned down at her. “You may only be mine for a few hours, but I don’t want all the lechers staring at you.”

“I’ll find something,” she murmured. She turned and strode into the rented room on legs that shook with each step. Once she was deep into the room, far enough that Tarragon couldn’t see her, she marched to the right and walked into the corner that hid Iskar and Jolie.

I don’t like this, Jolie stated.

We already had this conversation, Sugar replied. Fight was a more adept description of the discussion. It had been a heated battle where she and Iskar had been forced to outvote Jolie.

“Is it on?” Sugar asked in a whisper as she reached for a simple, but beautiful sky blue dress. According to the two dogs, the bright color emphasized the startling color of her eyes. The dress was purchased on a whim. It lay in the back of her closet unworn for years due to a lack of opportunity.

Until Tarragon Spice, there was no reason to bring it out.

She held it up to the dim, flickering light. As poor as the illumination was, it still caught the understated glamour of the gown. A confection of sculpted lace glowed with radiance beneath the ancient bulb.

It really is too beautiful a gown to waste on him, Iskar growled.

Sugar lowered the dress and shimmied out of the sheer sheath she wore. I don’t think it’ll be a waste, she shot back as she stepped into the gown. She pulled the dress up until it covered her breasts.
