Soul contracts

The soul understands that transforming into physical form (body) is temporary in nature and it adheres to certain contracts and lessons before being born into the physical world. It is highly possible that you may have asked yourself once or maybe even numerous times; ‘what is my purpose or what the whole point of my existence is?’ An ‘old soul’ is just a person who has maintained their essence through lifetimes. A ‘new soul’ is a more fragmented person, who isn't their true self/essence constantly.

In your life you may have met somebody or had a friend who came across as if their whole life had been mapped out for them, having a complete sense of what it is they would like to do in life whilst being surrounded by helpful people. You may have asked yourself why this is so, is it purely down to luck? It is spoken of by many metaphysical teachers that each and every person is guided by a sacred contract that the soul constructed (with other souls) before you were born.

The contract is known to contain a wide range of agreements regarding what kind of work you need to do in this current life, what you are intended to learn and the key relationships with the people who agreed to assist you in learning the lessons. You also plan your parents, choose the talents and abilities you will have and any other life situations that will help you evolve spiritually which you can learn from. You also decide on the situations that will bring you together with people in relationships that will give you the opportunity to fulfil karmic debts from your past existences. A great deal of this information can be found in your personal astrological natal chart.

Having contracts that ultimately plan your life’s circumstances and events doesn’t necessarily mean that you have no free will. At any given time your contract may provide you with an opportunity for growth, maybe in the form of challenges at the workplace, solving past grudges and coming to peace with an old partner or maybe something completely new. One way of viewing your contract is the healthfulness of your overall relationship with your personal power and spiritual power.

It determines how you work with your energy and to whom you give it. These contracts are very intellectual and complex in nature; they go beyond the human minds understanding and any computer system built by man. Fulfilling your sacred contracts also depend on how much you are willing to surrender to divine timings. Having absolute faith in ‘what is’, and allowing your higher self to intervene subconsciously to reach your level of awareness, guiding you to be in a certain place at a certain time with another person and so forth.

Every person, every event or circumstance that you encounter, and experience holds great significance and has an agreed role in your learning experience on planet earth. The same goes for yourself having contracts to helping others learn, whether it’s through painful times or joyful times.
