Chapter Six
The Alphaâs home was not a house. It was a very stately, extremely large mansion. Perry stood in the foyer taking off his borrowed coat and old scarf, hanging them on a hook with a label above that read âPerryâ inside a large cupboard. The tiles on the floor were shiny. The walls were papered. This was not a mansion you trekked mud into.
âButâ¦what are they doing here!â
Startled, Perry turned to see Grey standing in the doorway of the foyer with a comically alarmed expression on his face.
The Alpha grinned and patted Greyâs shoulder. They looked similar in some ways. They both had the same shade of medium-brown hair, but Greyâs was in a buzz cut. They had the same chin, and their eyes were that beautiful dark grey Perry was fascinated by. Heâd never seen grey eyes that shade before.
The Alpha was six and a half feet, wide with a barrel chest. Grey was a few inches shorter with a sold build, not slender like his cousin Blair, but not quite as wide as his uncle. Perry remembered all of Greyâs muscles. For someone who spent a lot of time studying, Grey was very toned and had muscles in his arms, legs, and a six-pack. He wasnât built like that hot guy from the fast car movies, but those types of muscles you had to work out to get. Perry knew because he and Aden went to the gym a couple of times, and that was it for them.
He shifted uncomfortably. Memories of Greyâs body and the way the man had touched him was causing a reaction, his dick half filling. Fortunately, there was so much going on he was able to distract himself.
âI wanted to get to know our new pack members, son. They are family to my new nephew.â Alpha Urian swept Mikayla, Aden, Kyle, and Perry through the foyer, along a wide hall, and into a large living room.
To Perry it looked like something from a glossy interior design magazine. There were a few at the bakery his boss liked to look at. He was sure some of the vases were antiques and was nervous to touch anything. The sofas and armchairs were filled with people and looked very expensive.
âWow,â Aden gasped beside him.
âPerry? Can I introduce you around?â Grey moved close to him and held out a hand.
After the sushi restaurant, Prince Finn had dropped Perry back at the new house he shared with his friends, and he spent a lot of time thinking and overanalysing. He wasnât sure what was right or wrong in this situation. He just knew Grey was his mate, and that meant something. Grey may find Perryâs DNA fascinating, but he wouldnât date him because of it. If they werenât mates, heâd probably have asked to test Perryâs DNA for science data. The little he knew of Grey, he knew the wolf shifter had integrity.
He just didnât know how well suited they were. He liked Grey though, and didnât want to stop seeing him.
