Chapter 12

“What’s wrong? Why are you back so quickly and where are Gabriel, Vincent and Kevin?” David asked, as the men came rushing back through the mirror, having only been gone a matter of seconds.

“I think Roberto figured out Gabriel would come home via a mirror, the image we saw in the mirror was wrong. When we arrived, his room was trashed. Gabriel got us out as soon as he saw his room, but I’m guessing Vincent, Kevin and Gabriel got stuck there,” Cairo said, running his hand over his face. “Ian, do you know where the witch’s coven house is?”

Ian nodded, a determined look on his face. “I do, I’ve got my jeep, I’ll drive.”

“Should we tell Creed and Mathis their mates are in trouble?” Cairo asked.

“Mathis will kill me if I don’t,” David said grabbing his phone and sending a message to him, while Stefan did the same for Creed.

Ian grabbed his phone a sent a message to the pack, telling them to head for the Augusta coven house and wait for them outside. “The pack will meet us at the coven house.”

Just then Mathis and Creed came running in.

“What has that damn witch done to my mate?” Creed said angrily.

Mathis turned on him. “Watch your tongue when you talk about my mate.”

Creed took a step back. “Your mate?” He asked in surprise.

Mathis sighed. “So, it would seem.” He looked at David. “What’s happened?”

“We’ll tell you on the way to the witches’ coven. Come on time’s a-wasting,” Ian said, heading out of the room and to the front door.

“We’ll take my car as well, and follow you Ian,” Troy said.

“Fair enough,” Ian said.

Ian jumped into his jeep, Cairo, Troy, Creed and Mathis got into Troy’s car who followed Ian at breakneck speed.

“Cairo what happened?” Mathis asked from the back seat, leaning forward.

“Gabriel used the mirror to connect to a mirror in his bedroom. Everything looked fine until we walked through into his room. It had been completely trashed. As soon as Gabriel saw it, he got us out, but I guess something happened because Gabriel, Kevin and Vincent didn’t come back with us,” Cairo said.

“Could they be stuck in the mirror?” Creed asked, concern lacing his voice.

“No idea. Sorry Creed, I really don’t know how mirror magic works.”

“Well, there is a witch, wolf and a vampire all together so they should be able to survive until we arrive,” Creed said.

“Fingers crossed,” Mathis said.
