Chapter Eight
Storm was distracted as he finished the last of his stretching exercises once the workout was done. The fact is, he’d been more than a little distracted throughout the entire workout while he thought of giving Taz his present. He couldn’t wait to get a glimpse of his eyes again and he planned on insisting Taz take off his glasses while he was in the house. The fact he couldn’t tell what his gorgeous bodyguard was thinking was unnerving in the very least. Besides, Storm was desperate to see if Taz had any interest in him as well. He did his last stretch, looking over to see Guru Shamsa sitting in the lotus position, his eyes closed, seeming completely serene as his chest moved ever so slightly with his controlled breathing. He hoped that someday, he’d have the same kind of serenity as his guru did. The yogi opened his eyes and looked over at Storm, smiling.
“Well, that was nice. How are you feeling, Storm? You look healthy. Have you been eating well?”
“I have… as well as I can. I’m at the point now where eating meat is not important to me and my diet is mostly vegan. I admit, I do feel better,” Storm said.
“This is good,” the guru said, unfolding his legs as he began his stretches. “As you know, the body is the temple of the spirit. How about your colonic regimen?”
“I’m building up to that. I have booked an appointment with your colon hydrotherapist.”
“Very good. It is important that you see a professional. It would be dangerous to develop an electrolyte imbalance.”
The idea of having a colonic scared Storm a little. He pictured someone putting a large hose up his rectum and then pumping water and herbs into his colon and the idea wasn’t pleasant but so far, the advice Guru had given him had been solid. He’d seen an increase in his energy since seeing the massage therapist the guru had referred him to and that was good. Overall, Storm felt better. Besides, so much had been written about the benefits of colonics to remove parasites, Storm felt compelled to trust Guru and take the next step. Storm’s thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door of the workout room. Rebecca stuck her head in a few seconds later.
“Meester Storm, ju lunch… she is ready. Ju want to eat some lunch, Meester goo?” she asked in her thick accent.
Storm had to cover his mouth with his hand to keep from grinning and embarrassing Guru.
Guru Shamsa looked downright irritated as he looked over at the innocently blinking maid waiting by the door. “No thank you, madam,” he said tersely. He looked back at Storm and Storm noted how he carefully schooled his annoyed features and replaced them with a smile which didn’t go all the way to his eyes. In fact, Guru Shamsa looked as though he could use a colonic of his own at that moment. Storm wished Jules was around so he could look at her and share a secret smile with her.
