Over any long journey, we need to do our best to ensure high morale and alignment of the team. This requires everyone to know their own role and goals, and the overall goals of the group.

Many times over the course of the journey, individuals will face independent choices. We want to ensure they have the tools to make the best decisions to advance the group’s goals.

The vision is the primary element to achieve this, but we also need to ensure the vision is in balance with other key elements in the navigation system.

As a living organism, an organization must ensure that key elements are in balance and working together. In biology, this is called homeostasis. In our work, we call it harmony. When one part is out of balance, the entire system is disrupted.
