Macedonia. I stared at the screen, calling James

from my cell phone.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey, yourself. You know, something is

definitely fishy.”

“Yeah, like what?”

“I just bid on Madrid but I got Macedonia.”

James laughed. “Oh, lucky you. That happened

to me yesterday with Belarus.”

“How’s that going?”

“Just turned it in.”

“Cool.”

“I was just thinking that the only thing I know

about Macedonia is the dodo bird and that’s

extinct,” he said.

“Yeah. Thanks for that. You bidding on another
