While you are interacting with others, there are various aspects of your spiritual gifts that will begin to shine. It may be subtle at first, but eventually you will begin to discern your strengths and your limitations. These are called your character traits. As you discover your character, your behavior evolves into what is demonstrated as your personality.

Character traits and personality are shown clearly in the differences between identical twins. Even though identical twins have similar gene pools and their environment is usually the same, their personalities will be different. Their ways of expressing their individuality or their behavior affirms the who they are.

In your interaction with others, continue to develop those character traits, even in times of trouble or distress.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
