Chapter 7

Trusting Your Mind

Earlier, we discussed the three main energy fields surrounding your physical body. The third field was the mental field, that which is closest to the universal field of all energy. From the mental field we can ask almost anything and receive feedback quickly.

There are three steps to remember when asking for intuition from this field. First, Relax, Step Back. By doing this, you immediately put yourself in the mental relax state of focused attention needed to ask a question. I cannot emphasis enough how this simple exercise is the key to calling on intuition in every exercise.

Second, word your question in a simple sentence. You can ask as many questions as you like, just keep each one simple. For example, you might ask, “Should I take that new job across town, and if I do, should I move?” This question leaves the door open for confusion when receiving your intuition. Was the answer for the first part of your question or the second part? Instead, ask, “Will that new job across town help me fulfill my Divine plan?” If you receive a yes, then ask, “ Is a move part of my Divine plan?”

The third part is to request how you receive the answer. You could say, “I would like a simply yes or no.” Then once you ask the question, try to see the two words, yes and no, in your mind at the same time, next to each other. Which of the two is easier to see? Which stands out? Which is pulsing or doing something to get your attention? Is one just not appearing no matter how much you try to see it? The one standing out or clearly getting your attention is the intuitive answer to your question. It’s really that simple.

Let’s look at a few more techniques I use and teach for calling on intuition from my mental field. Often, questions are not so black and white, and can’t be answered by a simple yes or no. You may desire more information. So, I often ask to see two or up to three paths in my mind. I have each path represent a possible answer, and then I allow myself to walk along the path in my mind and notice what I see, how I feel and if any Intuitive Footprints trigger. So taking the example above, “Should I take that new job across town?” I would label one path “Yes” and one path “No.”

Now that I have my questions and know how I want to receive the information, I can start. I Relax, Step Back repeat the question in my mind and state I will see two paths, the one on the right represents yes and the other path represents no. As I allow myself to imagine walking down the first path, I notice what's there. What's the road I’m walking on like? Is it dirt, graveled, or paved? What's the scenery like? Are there trees or plants; if so, how
