âWhat the fuck?â I yell, taking in the scene before me. Mercy is standing on the bed, a flannel shirt her only covering. With the shirt open, it exposes her in all her naked glory and sheâs pointing a gun at Kaz and Scope.
Both Kaz and Scope stand near the bed, Kaz with a bloody nose and Scope with a bleeding lip and claw marks running down the length of his face. He stands there with a grin on his face, completely in his element as Mercy loses her mind.
âYou.â She turns on me. âHow could you?â Her voice is rough and filled with hurt, making Scopeâs smile drop as he turns to look at me with suspicion.
âHow could I what, Mercy? I had no part in this.â I wave my hand to her chest but keep my eyes on her face because if I take in her smooth, supple skin, Iâm afraid Iâll do something which will make me worse than Scope in her eyes.
âDid you know?â She questions, not cutting me any slack. I nod slowly, well aware that sheâs giving me just enough rope to hang myself. I mean, I didnât know about them drugging her, but I knew when Edge arrived what was going to happen. Scope wouldnât let just anyone ink Mercyâs skin.
âWhy do you think heâs sporting the black eye?â
âAnd yet here I am with three menâs names inked into my skin. Did he knock you out?â
I take in her words but I turn my attention to Scope. He had my name inked into her skin even though he knew I disagreed with going about it this way.
âNo, he didnât knock me out,â I answer as Scope stares back with a blank expression.
âThen youâre no better than he is. Youâre like those assholes who stand by and watch a bully beat the shit out of someone. Oh, you might not have helped, but witnessing someoneâs pain and doing nothing to help makes you just as complicit.â She seethes, making me flash to the image of her pretty friend and all the people that stood by and did nothing. Everyone except her.
âYouâre right,â I agree, taking the wind out of her sails. Her shoulders drop, the fight leaving her immediately as she flicks the safety on and tosses the gun on the bed.
Iâm shocked the situation diffused as quickly as it escalated, wondering why she didnât use the gun as leverage to ensure we let her go. But then I suspect sheâs already figured out that Scope wonât let her leave. Heâd sooner see us all bleeding out on the floor than openly let Mercy walk out of our lives.
She drops to her butt and crosses her legs, giving each of us a flash of her smooth pussy, seeming unbothered by her near nakedness.
All three of us look to each other, at a loss what to do for a moment, before she lifts her head and pins me in place with a determined stare.
âTell me whatâs happening.
