Guided Imagery for Anyone
Here’s a guided imagery script created specifically to promote relaxation. For this practice, it’s not necessary for you to sit. Many persons lie while the narrator (which could be your voice recorded or another’s voice) leads you through a series of scenes, has you performing several acts, such as opening doors or interacting with another person.
In this particular guided presentation, the goal is for you to relax and accept your body. This is a great exercise if you’re just entering the meditative process. It helps you to recognize the signals your body sends to you.
The following is a prepared presentation you can use. You may want to record this script in your own voice or have someone read it to you while performing the guided imagery meditation.
