Create an email Sequence as follows:

Welcome email --> Share with Friends --> Connect on Socials --> Latest Release

1. Welcome email

Subject line ideas:

Welcome to the [record label family, community, club]

We’re [glad/stoked/humbled] you’re here

Here’s your welcome [gift/track/song]

You need to be authentic. Speak as if you were writing an email to a friend. This may be a new fan that knows nothing about the record label or your artists, so take time to introduce the label and what you are all about as a label. This is where you can put information about your label’s vision, artists you like, and where you are based.

Tell them what to expect in terms of email frequency and content, e.g. you’ll be emailing them once a month with new releases. By calling this a ‘family or community’ instead of ‘email list’ you’re making it more inclusive. You want it to feel like a group that goes above and beyond what you get on social media.

Make sure you add {first name} personalisation; this makes it more personal and helps with spam filters. Mailchimp and Sendinblue both have this feature. Add your social media links in the email or in the email signature and ensure you sign off as a real person, with your relative title, e.g. Sam Pull, XYZ Label Manager/Founder.
