Markers, crayons, or colored pencils

DIRECTIONS

1 We start with a rectangle. You can carefully measure one, or just use an index card for your rectangle.

2 With a pencil, make a design on one edge. It can be as complicated as you want but make sure it goes all the way from the top to the bottom. Cut it out with scissors. Fig. 1.

3 Tape the cut piece to the opposite side. Fig. 2.
