Of course, it is possible to question the blindfolded-creator argument, but it is striking that Laplaceâs principle of indifference, in the form adopted here, suggests that for any moderately large number of particles a high proportion of all solutions will have a rather uniform shape at their Janus points. They will be universes that seem to have been born in such a state. We will see a very significant enhancement of this effect in solutions in which the size of the universe vanishes at the Janus point.
