His manhood stirred at the memory of that exquisite specimen. He’d enjoyed her every which way and then let his darkest desire take over. Killing her had not been his objective, but in the frenzied throes of his flammable passion he’d done the deed and choked the very life out of her.

Oh, he’d known the cops would find Tanya.

He’d also known they would question Roquelle.

Mostly, he’d been curious how she would react. The girl was street-tough and hated cops so he figured she would stonewall them out of sheer spite.

He knew he was right because at the moment he was looking at the detective’s case notes – another surveillance order that had been placed without question.

The man who called himself Reacher leaned back and looked out his window.

It was possible he had too many irons in the fire, he had to admit. He was playing a game with very high stakes and this thing with the girls was just a side hustle. The other stuff was important because a mistake in that regard would ensure him a horrible outcome and he was determined to be ahead of the curve.

Maybe he should have waited until the stuff in Indiana was settled, but young female flesh was for him the ultimate source of pleasure and stress release.

It was so nice to work in law enforcement at the highest levels.

It was like having keys to the candy store.
