I conform to the structure of my land. I am a product of my environment. I plead ignorance. I occupy space. Therefore I am. Existence becomes intoxicated by my need to feed.

This expansive culture seeps into the rivers of my mind and quenches my thirst. I am an elusive being bound by the constraints of my own mind.

Reflection distorts my reality while interpolation rapes my soul; leaves me cold. Posing towards the lens of my obscured reality. Created by a higher power. Raping me of will. Bleeding illusion over my soul.

PART ONE

Have you ever smelled the stench of death? A body; a corpse lying for five days before it has been discovered. They say death smells sweet — it doesn't. It's pungent, like rotten eggs and shit mixed with other bodily fluids — a distinct malodour you won't forget in a hurry. It is a smell that can destroy you... especially if the body was lying on top of an electric blanket, cooking in its own juices. Beef jerky, anyone?

Perhaps I should introduce myself. No real name, of course. I'm Maria, I'm twenty-eight years old, Scottish, lesbian, oh, and I'm of cannibalistic tendencies. I love the raw taste of uncooked flesh. It's my own personal type of heroin. I started to eat raw meat when I was around six years of age. My mum died, leaving me home alone with her rapidly decaying corpse, on the aforementioned electric blanket. Three days later, I was ravenous, so I picked one of her fingers, chewed it off and thus began my favourite choice of sustainability through food.

My mum was dead for five days before I was found by the police. One of the neighbours had called them after a strange, sickening smell took hold in the six in a block building. I was relieved because I had eaten a quarter of my mother's arm, and it had started to turn putrid. It was another ten years, when I turned sixteen, that I began eating raw human flesh again. And fuck! It tasted so much better than my mum's.

I'm a bit of a wine connoisseur, so I know exactly which slice of meat goes with a full-bodied merlot or a rich tasting spicy claret. Mmmm, mouth-watering, succulent, desired flesh. People may say that I'm an animal as most of the kingdom devours human flesh and bone, but I'm way more delicate. I take my time and taste my food. I'm no animal. I look like every other meat-eating soul that you may encounter.

You may have heard of websites that you can hook up with someone that wants to be eaten. That's way too dirty for me, too calculated. I like my meat clean and well... let's just say, surprised. To feed my tastes, I'm an avid online dater. I scroll past most of the skinny chicks and seek out women with a bit of flesh on their bones. I am of unique taste, and my tastes are rather singular. Sex sells, and I sure as hell sell the fuck out of it.
