Entanglement

There is a principle in quantum mechanics referred to as entanglement that may also relate to the previous concept. Many physicists don’t accept that entanglement is a relevant concept at the macro level of our everyday reality. Among the most qualified quantum physicists that number goes down even further. Within that crowd there are essentially two groups. One that has been trained to use the mathematics involved for direct application, and a much smaller group that both works the math and theorizes about what it all might mean. Among the latter group there are some respected physicists who do not rule out the idea of entanglement working at macro as well as quantum levels of reality.

The basic concept of entanglement is that once two things come into contact with each other, they remain linked at a distance.[64] This is where Einstein’s well known phrase, “spooky action at a distance” comes from. Quantum mechanics focuses on this from a very micro level of reality, such as with two electrons. However, macro level experiments have been performed in recent years that certainly seem suggestive of entanglement. [65]

A good experimental example from outside of the physics community is Cleve Backster’s groundbreaking work that appears to show your cells are able to communicate at a distance. He took living cell samples from research subjects, used very sensitive equipment to measure their electrical emanations, and discovered that these readings would become agitated from their baseline when the person they came from was going through something stressful or highly emotional. Even if the person was hundreds of miles away, there was a near instantaneous effect on the cells Clive was monitoring.[66] We could say that the cells and the body they came from were still entangled.

How does this relate to the formula? Perhaps only indirectly. From my experience it seems like one of the things we’re trying to do is become entangled with our goals. We use V+E to establish a strong connection with what we want and then supplement it with things like my car rental example. At the very least I suggest that it’s another very helpful way for you to think of the V+E portion of the equation.
