Farmer Jimmy opened the rusty gate as Hillary walked through her fellow flock to bleats of joy. All her friends got a little emotional as they made their way toward her. They knew how much this would mean to Hillary – Hillary who loved Christmas and loved Santa and who was always destined for something a bit special with that Benetton-bright coat of hers…

Joe handed her a few jelly babies he had collected from Farmer Jimmy to share on the journey. He reminded her that her sheeply ancestors were sacred to the Egyptians, so she was simply following in the footsteps of other important sheep and that she should hold her head high and represent her flock with dignity and pride. Hillary smiled and repeatedly reassured Joe that she had everything under control!

Margaret gave her a bunch of daisies. (Half-chewed, but it was a thoughtful gesture all the same.)

Marian gave her a “hug”. It was kind of awkward with hooves.
