Sales letters can be mailed or electronically distributed. While I do recommend direct mail for your high-end products/services, email does have its advantages. You can automate your sales letters and include personal details.

There are plug-ins that allow you to automatically send personalised information and go through a follow-up sequence that will help turn your prospective client into a new customer.

All your sales and marketing materials should be tested. Consider using a spreadsheet to track results and include information about how and when they say ‘yes’ in the buying process. Knowing what works and what doesn’t will enable you to track and improve your copy. My sales letters have changed considerably over the years, as I have tested and tweaked copy to better serve my client base. Even minor changes can make a big difference - don’t be afraid to make adjustments and see what happens.
