Nayr returned to her Mother Tree and, therein, she merged with the communal soul of the trees and allowed it to know her mind. Dryads throughout the forest heard her thoughts, gained her knowledge and came to know their appointed queen. Nayr sensed those within who still agreed with Dark Oak, but they were in the minority, and so when she commanded her people to restrain the dissenters, they did so with ease. They were a problem for another day, and Nayr had someone in mind to deal with them.

Days passed while the elder Dryads communed, debating how best to deal with Dark Oak and his followers, as well as how to choose a human to sit on the Council. Surely it should be the human queen, the Dryads argued, but Nayr had another idea.
