Recipe 15: Butter Shortbread Cookies

These are the yummiest buttery shortbread cookies ever.

Cooking time: 45 minutes

Servings: 9

Ingredients:

1 cup of unsalted butter

1 teaspoon of vanilla

Half cup of powdered sugar

A pinch of salt

3 cups of all-purpose flour

Directions:

1. In a bowl blend sugar and butter. Add in vanilla, butter and sugar and blend till creamy.

2. Add small amounts of flour and salt and knead it with hands till it becomes firm.

3. On a floured surface, roll out 1/4th thickness. Cut squares out of the dough and prick holes with fork. Transfer them on a baking sheet.

4. Bake at 325 F for 15 minutes or till golden brown. Let them cool completely before serving.
