4 Remove the embosser to reveal the embossed pattern. In the Sewing Sensation cake I have piped coloured lines of royal icing over sections of the embossed pattern to recreate my embroidered tablecloth.

TIP

Embossed patterns made this way also work very well as a base for brushwork embroidery (see the Piping chapter).

Sugarcraft tools are essential pieces of kit for any cake decorator, whether beginner or expert. This chapter shows you how some of these specialist tools can be used very effectively.
