She’s only been in our lives for a short period of time, and she’s burrowed herself deep and there is no coming up for air.

After checking the cameras yet again, I head down the hall to my bedroom to shower. It was getting dark, and I wanted to calm myself after being afraid all day since Nino messaged me.

I turn the shower on and go to my closet to choose my nightwear. I choose my big Looney Toons t-shirt and some boy shorts. I leave my phone on the bathroom counter and undress. I step inside the shower and allow the water to cascade down my body.

As soon as I enter the shower, I get a weird feeling that something is about to happen. I shake it off and continue my shower. I lather my rag, getting it all soapy, just before I scrub my body clean.

Next thing I know, there is one hand around my waist and another across my mouth. My body is snatched from the shower, and I’m slammed against the wall. My eyes are met by pure evil. The devil himself is currently staring back at me.

“Keep your mouth shut and this will be a lot easier for you.” He says. “If you scream, I can assure you that you won’t like the outcome. Do you understand?”

I’m heaving and panting for air as I stare Jimmy square in the eye. He’s my best friend’s brother and my brother’s enemy.

I nod my head in agreement, and he removes his hand from my mouth.

“What the fuck are you doing in my house?” I shout.

“I picked the lock on the back door. I came in quietly. I heard the shower running and found you.” He says nonchalantly.

There were no guards at either door which made it easy from him for enter it seems. Not even a witness in sight to stop him. He evaded all the cameras, allowing him to come into my house, closing the door quietly behind him, and snatch me out of the shower.

Oh fuck me.

I never heard anything, but I definitely should’ve listened to that weird feeling I got. I’ll never ignore my intuition again, that’s for sure. He’d maneuvered his way around my home like it was his.

I feel so disgusted.

“Why. Are. You. Here?” I ask in a clipped tone.

I’m literally standing in front of him butt ass naked and he’s trailing my naked body with his eyes.

“Your brother is responsible for something that I hold dear to my heart.” He answers.

“What does that have to do with me?” I ask.

“Well sweet little Mya. Us two are going to play a little game.” He says.

He smiles and it’s the scariest shit I’ve ever seen. His eyes are red like he smoked a fatty before coming over here, he wreaks of alcohol and marijuana, and I can’t help but think something awful is going to happen to me.

I glance over at my phone on the bathroom counter. His eyes follow to where mine go.

“Don’t even think about it.
