Three-thirty rolled around, and the celebrations in the streets of Arena City hadn’t died down yet.

Tonight, the fans of the Intergalactic Gladiatorial Games had seen something they hadn’t seen in ages—the champion defending her title and her honor in the arena.

Jegra hadn’t had an official match since she intervened in Danica’s humiliation bout, but now, after several years of her absence and declining ratings, she made a comeback in a big way. It was also the first time a member of royalty fought for a title belt in the arena and not just for show.

But more than simply another victory notch on her belt, Jegra had defeated the terrorist Demeris Ferrison and foiled his plot to destabilize the peace she had struggled for the past several years to instill in the hearts and minds of the people. Perchance to forge a new galactic trust among the various planetary systems.

Now, at long last, she could rest. And as she stowed away in her palace overlooking Arena City, the people celebrated her great victory. Not only was the war still fresh in their minds, but today’s spectacle was one for the ages, and it gave them a great hope that the peace Jegra had brought to their world and countless others would be a lasting one.

“How long do you think they’ll keep on like that?” Brei asked from the balcony window of Arena Palace.

“At least well into the morning,” Jegra replied. “Now, come back to bed, my love. We grow cold without your warmth.”

Brei turned around. Her pink, babydoll chemise teddy’s lace V-neck looking fetching on her soft blue skin, she smiled at the bed full of practically naked women.

Like Brei, most of Jegra’s harem wore comfortable teddies or lingerie. Raven had on a bright yellow camisole, minus any bottoms, while Danica wore dark purple floral lingerie with garter straps, and Jegra had on floral lace lingerie in tangerine.

All the wives lay tangled up on the bed, all relaxed and lounging as they chatted about everything and nothing.

It was the first time they’d all been together during a time of peace and tranquility without anything to interrupt them and prevent them from catching up with one another—that is, until the fireworks going off over the city had distracted Brei and drawn her to the window like a moth to the flame.

Danica sat up and opened her arms, inviting Brei into them. As Brei made her way back to the bed, she swung by the bowl of fruit sitting on a table at the foot of the bed and plucked some grapes from it. She popped one into her mouth and fed the other one to Danica.

At the same time, Jegra and Raven’s hands were clasped, their fingers threading together like a couple of lovestruck teenagers. They brushed their noses together with Eskimo kisses, basking in one another’s company.

“So, have you two lovebirds decided on a wedding date?” Brei inquired, looking across the bed at Raven and Jegra with inquisitive eyes.

“Not exactly,” Raven said, looking to Jegra to see if it would be all right to share the news.
