The training arena should offer

ample shade in the hot

seasons for the trainer, yet

one must be careful to be sure

that the nigger is adequately exposed

to and acclimated to the harsh

elements that will be

constant in his existence.

The trainer must reinforce

the knowledge that no relief

from said rugged and

disagreeable conditions

is likely or even possible.

afeared of bodies of water.

A good near-drowning is

wonderful for making the slave

at once more interesting

and interested.
