The Blessing of the Animals was held on the lawn of the Chapel. A

pulpit was set up with folding chairs for the congregation. There were

pets everywhere! It was amazing to see so many different kinds. Of

course, there were lots of dogs and cats of every size and shape. But

there were others, as well.

There were lots of fish like Swish and lots of birds like Cutesy. But there

were lizards, snakes, and turtles too. And, even more exciting, there were

farm animals. Milton Chubb, whose family ran a farm, brought in a goat

and a calf. Other families brought chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits.

There was even a pony!
