Chapter 10

“Are you just going to stand there?”

“What are you doing?” His voice was hoarse and raw and felt as if it was being scraped along his throat.

“Isn’t it obvious?” She eased up against the pillows, bringing his attention to the rounded breasts. “I told you that I'm impossibly horny, and I needed you to do something about it. I haven't been able to sleep. My nipples are so sensitive that even the slightest touch sends me into a spin. I haven't had sex in a very long time and I thought that it was something that I could do without it and have been doing without. But since I became pregnant it isn't the case. Does that clear it up for you now? Because I really do not want to talk anymore.”

“This wasn't the arrangement—” he began as he moved towards the bed and stood there.

“Are you going to tell your lawyers?” She challenged him. Reaching out a hand she trailed it down his muscled chest, feeling the crisp hairs there, and she felt a jolt of electricity as he shuddered at her touch. “I want you and it’s obvious that you want me too. We're both consenting adults so what’s the problem?”

She gasped as he reached out and clamped his fingers on her chin, jerking her face up. His grey eyes glittered as he stared down at her, his face intense and hard. “You're right.” He let go of her chin to dig his fingers into her curls, wrapping his fingers into them and pulling, causing her to wince slightly. “You have a need and I have the means to take care of that need. I want you to know that this doesn't mean there's ever going to be anything between us.”

She curled her fingers into his chest, feeling the warmth of the skin and the unsteady beat of his heart. “You talk too much,” she whispered. Opening her palms, she spread them over the skin, her fingers teasing the nipple. Tex felt his body tightening to impossible proportions and he knew without a doubt that he wasn't going to take it easy. He was already losing control.

“I need you now.” He let go of her but only to climb onto the bed next to her. He braced himself on one elbow, his grey eyes wandering over her body, his gaze lingering on the fullness of her stomach that had his babies inside it. He felt his heart lurch as he thought about it. This woman was carrying his babies, would be the mother of his children and right now he was going to be making love to her. He'd thought of it, agonized over it all day and had made a firm decision to stay away from her but she'd forced his hand.

He cupped her breast and felt her tremble at his touch. Bending his head he flicked his tongue over the nipple, shuddering as it sprang immediately to life. Her fingers were curled on his shoulders and when he pulled the nipple inside his mouth, her body arched and trembled even more.
