Chapter 8

STEP 4—Act to Inspire & Motivate

As you take your life into your own hands and your healing into your own life, you are going to need support. The best support you always have when you cannot feel the hand guiding you from above, from God, the universe or divinity, is actually right in front of you. It’s you! You have within you the divinity, God, the universe. That is why we pray to connect.

You need to learn to be your own cheerleader. Be your own best friend and most especially the best fan and lover you will ever have. Treat yourself well and uplift your spirits. Why wait for others to boost your spirit when you are right there to help? Why is it okay to help others and not okay to help yourself? You absolutely can, and it is most definitely okay!

When you hit a road block, be the one who says, “You can do this! Let’s figure this out. This is in front of us for a reason. Let’s work through it. You got this!”

Do not listen to the little old limiting you who will try to give up and tell you that you are not good enough. There will be a part of you that will try to backtrack and go back to what it is comfortable even when the past had created unhappiness and disharmony within yourself. Refuse to sabotage your own self and your own happiness.

Challenge yourself, but do not be too hard on yourself. Mistakes are absolutely okay. They are the best way to learn. Be confident in making mistakes and be confident in finding ways to rectify them. If one way does not work, try another. This helps exercise your brain.

Give no room for the blame and shame duo. This will just stunt your progress unnecessarily. These can hurt your psyche as much as they can hurt your physical body. If you did your best and it did not work out, move on by finding another way. Wallowing in blame or shame will not get you anywhere. If it causes you harm, let it go. If it heals, then let it in.

Live simply. Know your priorities and focus your energy there. Learning to manage your energy is also learning to manage your body’s health. Know that what you put out will come right back around. It is the karmic cycle, the universal truth. When something needs to be changed, then change it. When something needs to be moved, then move it. When something needs to be thrown away, then throw it away. When something needs to be added, then add it. Take action accordingly with love and mindfulness. Follow your heart!

There is no time for excuses. If you want it, just go get it. No matter the how, find a way. If you really want it, you will move mountains. You have the power and the capability. Take down the blockages you have put up in stopping yourself to fully reach your dreams.
