8. Working on parchment so that the red doesn’t dye the surface of your counter, roll out 4 “snakes” to fill the 4 sides of the V channel in your cake. (Mine was about ¼ inch in diameter.) Make 2 snakes about 7 inches long and 2 about 11 inches long.
9. Gently press down one side of each snake to make the point at the bottom of the heart.
10. Carefully fit the snakes into the V channel placing the point toward the bottom. If they break, gently press them back together.
11. Run the dull side of a butter knife down the center of each snake. This will be the indentation at the top of the heart.
