Before we break down each component of L.E.A.D.S., we must tackle how it works. There are three things you want to focus on when applying this.

You want to focus on relationship marketing tactics. No one can grow their business by themselves. Growth and success are predicated on the quality and strength of your relationships.

The relationships of your support system, your team members, your vendors. The relationships between you and the customers, you and your clients, and the relationships between your buyers, advocates, and elevators.

The next thing is less broadcasting, more conversations. How many times have you seen someone on social media, or maybe you’ve been guilty yourself, posting content and forgetting to engage with it? I must admit I am guilty of this myself.

Or even worse, they intentionally just post and ask for sales. Their content is all about them. That doesn’t work. That doesn’t resonate with anybody. It’s equivalent to spamming. We need to practice active listening and have more conversations. More conversations reap the benefits that we want. It creates opportunities to get more sales.

Lastly, build systems around your community and not yourself. You see, many times, we’ll choose social media platforms and processes that we know, prefer, and are comfortable with. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: you must be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

You must meet your community where they are. You must meet the level of expectations your current and potential customers have. Our audience, our community, will tell us what they want. This may mean you need to explore other types of content, marketing tactics, or social media platforms. Now that we set the stage, let’s dive deeper into L.E.A.D.S.
