‘Seaweed in the garden?’ said Toby.

‘No, I harvest some seaweed from the shallow rock pools of the sea,’ Beth told him. ‘Never too much and I’m always very careful because of the tiny sea horses and crabs and prawns that live amongst it. Plus I also tie ropes between bits of the olden day ship-wrecks in the tidal water along the shore and the seaweed grows on those too.’

‘I’d love to have a go at growing seaweed,’ Mum said and Beth smiled.
