Il fait chaud / frais / froid

It is hot / cool / cold

Il fait beau / bon / mauvais

The weather is fine / nice / bad

Il fait du brouillard / du soleil / du vent

It is foggy / sunny / windy

Il fait jour / nuit

It is daylight / night

BE AWARE! You cannot use faire for all expressions concerning the weather. For example, if you want to say ‘it is raining’ or ‘it is snowing’, use the impersonal verbs il pleut or il neige.
