Create beautiful vision boards on Pinterest to inspire your customers.
It’s great to get noticed by a lot of people once for something you posted but the aim of using social media is to build sustained relationships that keep your business going over years, not days. How you position yourself for the long term is vital to how successfully you build your web influence.
4.1
Lead opinion
Some companies seem to think that social media is just about networking. If all you want is to reach out to your industry peers then that’s fine. But to really get yourself noticed you need to become a leader of opinion. Then you’ll be trusted as a source to come back to again and again.
The world has become information savvy and social media is highly meritocratic. If you’re interesting enough you will get noticed. If you are boring you won’t. People are looking for the best content presented in the most interesting, informative or entertaining way. Social media is your chance to get ahead of the competition.
▪ Get noticed. Create content that is attention grabbing and visually interesting on different platforms to drive traffic to your main business website or blog.
▪ Be an expert. Speak with authority on topics of interest to your core users. Make sure your audience learns something new or sees things from a new angle.
▪ Be a knowledge hub. Provide links to other experts’ whitepapers, retweet interesting tweets from experts in the field.
▪ Keep current. Always make sure you stay on brand, stay current, relevant and interesting.
