To achieve smart reconfigurability, certain techniques such as graph model, neural network, need to refine the antenna parameters and the design procedure. To achieve reconfigurability by using smart material, the antenna scale can be miniaturized. Using various bandwidth enhancement methods, such as using DGS and patch slot, will improve the antenna bandwidth. With different DGS the designs can be further improved to achieve good gain, performance, radiation pattern, current distribution, and depending on the application.

Many of the antennas reported drawbacks in the literature are designed for single band or dual wireless for the next generation.
