I walked into the den with all the confidence in the world, then I saw Allie Kachonic and froze.

Allie was the kind of blonde that could do that, totally stop you in your tracks because she was so hot. Her hair was somewhere between honey and gold, and it was silky, straight hair, parted on the right, and down to her shoulders where it was abruptly cut. Allie had big blue eyes and a gorgeous beauty-queen smile that just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not many girls were in the same league as Lauren, but Allie was, and the two of them together were pure fantasy fuel.

“Hey, Dork,” Allie said.

My heart raced when I realized she was talking to me. She rarely talked to me. “Hi, Allie.”

“Be nice,” Lauren added, giving her blonde friend a stern look.

I tried not to stare at Allie, but it was very hard. She had on a pair of cut-off white denim shorts, frayed around the bottom, hugging her slender thighs. She had one leg off the couch, the other tucked under her bottom. With the shorts, she wore a tight tank top, baby blue and white striped, and it hugged her pert breasts. Her boobs weren’t nearly as big as Lauren’s, but they’d make some nice handfuls, and they always looked so firm.

“Is it true?” Allie said.

“What?” I asked, noticing Lauren’s cheeks reddening.

Allie’s blue eyes got even wider even though I didn’t think it was possible. She leaned forward, a big grin on her face. “Did Lauren really get into Rip Robinson’s mansion.”

I looked at my sister who nodded just once, a very slight nod. I looked back at Allie who was awaiting an answer. “It’s true,” I said. “She was invited in.”

“No way!” Allie said, looking back at Lauren, then at me. “I can’t believe it!”

“Believe it,” I said. “I went too.”

Allie was looking at me more than she ever had, it made my face burn, being under the gaze of such a hottie. “What did y’all do?”

I looked at Lauren again, my mouth going dry.

“Come on,” Allie said. “Tell me, tell me, tell me.”

“Uh,” I stuttered. “Well—we—” I looked at Lauren for some help, but her cheeks were blushing too and she looked away.

Allie eyed both of us. “What’s going on here? Did something crazy happen?”

“You could say that,” I blurted out like an idiot.

“Martin!” Lauren said sharply.

Allie’s blue eyes narrowed. “Lauren, what went down at Rip’s. You can tell me, we’ve been friends since the first day of college.”

Lauren was quiet for a moment, looking down at the ground, then slowly bringing her gaze up to her friend. She swallowed hard and said, “He gave me a part in his next music video.”

The room was silent for about three seconds, then Allie exploded.

“OHMYGOD! LAUREN! THAT’S GREAT! OHMYGOD! YOU’RE GOING TO BE FAMOUS! MY BEST FRIEND IS FAMOUS!”

The blonde was practically bouncing off the couch, she gripped Lauren’s shoulders and shook her. Lauren grabbed her friend’s arms and finally calmed her down.
