CHAPTER ELEVEN
A DOUBLE CELEBRATION
Dajii never got the chance to ask DaVonnche to accompany him to the wedding. He was seeing less of her lately. He knew her real estate business was prospering and at one time chucked it up to a heavy work load, but then when they were together they had less sex. They still went out on dates and snuggled at night, but sex with DaVonnche was a distant memory for Dajii. Dajii planned to talk to DaVonnche after he came back from the wedding.
***
Both DaVonnche and Fantasy were scrunched for time. Even though Tiki changed her ultrasound to 8am instead of 2pm they both had to get redressed into their formal wear.
***
DaVonnche wondered why Dajii had been calling her non-stop. He was getting a little possessive. That was the main reason she was holding back from him. She weaned the pussy to him in teaspoons and stayed away so that her heart would grow fonder. He was always asking her about being exclusive. I don’t see why he doesn’t get the point. I like things the way they are. I love our time together, especially the gifts and trips but I’m just doing me right now. She was not totally honest with him or herself. She was spending a lot of time with Shawntwan. He was more on her level and he stepped up his game in the bedroom 100%. She couldn’t get enough of him. She wondered was he feeling the same about her as she was feeling about Dajii. It was getting close to the time to pick up Tiki so DaVonnche never bothered to check her dozen odd messages from Dajii.
***
Tiki couldn’t stay still. She was on edge all morning. She’d been up since the last time she took her medication at 5am. She’d eaten breakfast, a few healthy snacks, cleaned her entire home and was putting clothes in the dryer. She read to her baby in between loads. Not more than an hour from now Tiki would be able to call the baby by name. She didn’t know what she wanted. She started out wanting a girl, but times were different from when she grew up and didn’t know if giving birth to a baby girl was a good idea. Even if she grew up in wealth, girls had it hard. Then her choice swayed more towards a boy.
DaVonnche and Fantasy could teach him to respect women and to treat them like he’d want his aunties to be treated. But then there was a downside to being a boy without a father. She thought about Ameen. He was going to be successful and if he married Fantasy, he’d be around to teach her son the things that women can’t. After debating with the thought she left it in God’s hands. She headed to the shower to be ready for DaVonnche.
***
Fantasy told Ameen she was going to step out around 7:30am and that he should be dressed by noon. The wedding ceremony was at 1pm and she wanted to get there early.
