I see anger in his eyes

Disappointment

Frustration in his words

Violence in his hands

Harshness in his movements

I feel threatened

This force sometimes

Consumes me

Makes me nervous

Overrules my choices

But I will not give up

I will be the voice of reason

I will continue to love
