People Are Rushing By WHYY

People are rushing around the place,

cutting off others for a parking space.

People are texting and trying to drive,

causing car crashes then pray to survive.

People are drinking wherever they are,

and killing our kids behind the wheel of a car.

People are rude with nothing to say,

like a friendly hello or have a nice day.

People are listening for gossip to spread,

or changing the context of something you’ve said!

News on the TV is twisted in hype,

demeaning the races when they switch on the mike!

Children in schools who follow the rules,

are treated as outcast or labeled as fools,

to become someone’s tools!.

Out of the clouds came a thunderous clap

to shake out your soul and knock off your cap!

To open your eyes your brain is the root,

to take in new knowledge and listen to truth!

Give glory to God get down on your knees,

simply say something so he can be pleased!

Tell him you’re sorry for rushing around,

and not giving him praise with eyes on the ground!

Tell him you’re sorry you couldn’t lock eyes,

while lying to others in Satan’s disguise!

Show up in a church for a minute or two,

and learn to live life as Jesus would do!

Passing a senior with a frown on their face,

say something uplifting, put a smile in it’s place!

Remember the youth need loving from you,

and are watching your steps and will walk as you do!

Keep them in prayer and guide them to light,

bring them to glory and guard them at night!

People just need some time to slow down,

get down on their knees in bathrobes or gowns.

Clasp your hands together as you awake from that daze,

look straight up to heaven and give God His praise!

Politicians And God! By WHYY

I’m running for office and I have a plan!

To return truth and justice all over this land!

I’m running for office but they say I’m naive!

Believing changes will happen with all due speed!

We’ve heard in the past that these things take time,

I know you are thirsty but you must wait in the line!

I know it sounds funny not born with your money,

to believe in “I can!, Achieve milk and some honey!”

The land of the free and the home of the brave,

we need to reeducate not return to the caves!

What’s happened to children across this great land?

Instead of a “time out” it may take a hand!

Corporal punishment needs to come back,

to return to the young ones the respect that they lack!

Deviant sex acts are all that one hears,

and four letter words are an assault on our ears!

Clean up the language the stations now use, put truth on the news that view us as fools!

Concentrate on the positive and visit my hood as you take a walk in our shoes!

Why keep electing millionaires, who can never understand,

what their average constituents experience daily that drains the faith from man!

It’s time that the “No More Party” comes together and appears,

made up of the populations people true, who’ll govern with their peers!

No more inaugural balls will be had, the party is over, and the public is glad!

No more spending millions
