CUTTING THE RINGS

1 Prepare to cut. Draw intersecting guidelines down the center of the bowl blank. For stability, the long sides of the bowl must follow the grain direction. Mark the top edge of the blank with a pencil and cover the blank with packaging tape to prevent burning. Align the guidelines on the blank and pattern, and attach the pattern to the wood with repositionable adhesive.

2 Cut the perimeter of the first ring. Tilt the left side of the saw table down 23° and cut the perimeter of the first ring in a clockwise direction.
