There is a difference in energy levels of performance between the words “evoke” and “demand.”

The more you watch them, the more you’re going to understand human beings. Their complaints, their ineffectiveness aren’t partial understanding, as much as emphasis, insistence on looking at and dealing with their own aberrations and lacks.

I wish I could be sure I have reached the imagination of every one of you with my conviction that progress will occur in our understanding of this world only to the extent that we can establish something that conforms to the pattern of the real material world. I get so upset when I listen to all the verbal spouting and spouting that goes on all around me. I feel that you are making no progress in understanding your world (or the other guy’s) until you stop just passing air in and out of your mouths and start doing something that’s tangible and material.
